Hey guys got a few questions about my 71 mach 1.Its an automatic with 351c 4barrel. Mine has an electronic ignition box. DId these come stock with that or was this added before i got it? Also does anyone know what the stock timing should be? Distributer was out of the car when i got it so i have clue where the timing should be. Is about 24* now and it seems to run better but not exactly right. Any info is appreciated. Thanks alot guys, Brad.

Points were standard equipment, electronic showed up in '73 or '74.

Someone may have installed a Petronix electronic ignition, I put one in my 68 about seven years ago and haven;t had any problems at all. With the point I was always readjusting them

Timing was factory set at about 6 degrees BTDC, but most engines run better set at about 12 degrees BTDC.
