CAI, which is better?

MAF's are not needed with a N/A car! thee is no way you'll peg the stock one with all the external bolt ons. If you must get a CAI, then get a FIPK. It is probably the best out there. Then when you are making about 310RWHP, get a shorty 80mm Pro-M for the FIPK inlet tube and a dyno tune. I wouldn't do it any other way!

true, but lots of these guys aren't going to get their MAF retuned to run leaner. With the amount of money they're going to spend on a CAI why not go with the better mod of the aftermarket MAF? Pro-M is a awesome piece as well.

btw, i bet your car looks sick. got any pics??

with the rubber mounting points i don't see why not it shouldn't fit. If you do have problems. you can always stick your stock rubber pipe piece on there. But no, i highly doubt you'll be facing problems in install. just don't touch the inner part of the TB opening. they pre-grease it for durability and prevents foreign material getting into your intake.

Ok, I'm getting mixed messages here, I'm told not to get the CAI because it won't yeild high gains but to get a MAF and filter and that will do more. Now I'm being told not to bother with a MAF because its not worth it. Im no mechanic and I'm a newbie, all I'm after is a simple bolt-on mod that will get modest gains (not looking to do more than sqeeze a little more out of a daily driver) Lots are telling me to get gears, but I don't won't to (atleast not right now) So what should I do? MAF or CAI?

Don't waste your money on a CAI. I just took my MAC one off, it sucked. I can't tell the difference between that and the bone stock setup, paper filter, silencer, and all.

Besides a K&N filter, I wouldn't bother messing with anything else except the manifolds themselves.
