People i am not making this up!
I prefer the term 'engineer'.
and since when did .15s on a 17-18s truck equal 15hp? I dropped .6s off my base line of 19.1 once by unbolting the exhaust, and running a short pulley. Does that mean I gained 60hp!?! F*(% NO. That very general rule only holds true for 12-13s cars.
Check out this calculator if you don't beleive me: http://www.dsm.org/tools/calchp.htm
looks like .15s on a 17-18s car is ~3-4 hp. Now look up to my above post....
very interesting..... notice that I didn't even edit that post. The little bit of extra gain is from removing the air box.assuming isobaric cooling of 15*F with an ambient temp of 86, you are gainning 3%. 3hp. Thats IF the core provides no restriction.
