I was looking at a mach 1 in the yellow. The dealer is still trying to work a deal I can live with. How do these things fair as compared to my WS6. If I got the Mach 1 I would be trading the TA for it. Are they worth it or should I stick to the TA.

They are badass. Machs run just as fast, if not faster, than your T/A. You get awesome looks, sound, handling, etc. The Mach is, as Jon mentioned, newer and more excusive than your T/A.

 Mach 1

I'll play Devils Advocate here. Keep the T/A. A Trans Am WS6 has always been a dream car of mine. To me, you can't beat the styling and power for the buck with the T/A. I wouldn't trade unless you're getting an even exchance, but that's just me.

WS6 over Mach1

Dude drop the Pontiac like a bad habit and step into a mans car! The WS6 is probably a bit faster once you get into the gears but the Mach 1 will handle alot better and the newer body style will turn more heads.

Get the Mach. I had an 02 GT before the Mach and this car puts my old GT to shame. I never thought this motor would be that much diff. from the GT, but was I way off. I'm still not used to shifting at a higher RPM.

Not to be a smartass or flame you, but what did you expect the response to this question posted on a Mustang board to be? I'm sure if you ask the same exact question over on LS1.com, the response will be just the opposite. As for me, I have so much fun picking on Z28's and WS6's when I come across them on the street. Most of the time, they don't know what hit them, because of that cocky attitude that "teh LS1 can neva lose". :D

Get the MACH 1 you wont be dissapointed..and i can vouch for the yellow...are you getting the zinc yellow or chrome yellow......LS1's/WS6 get mad when they get spanked by a mustang..i always like to rub it in there face and tell them they got spanked by a little 281 motor compared to their, i dunno what is it, 347...

Get the Mach...you should be able to get a good deal...my buddy picked his up for just over 23k after rebates and incentives...i have an 03 GT and I'm hoping to make mine as quick as the mach after full exhaust, gears, suspension and maf...and i'm not sure after that i will be as quick as his stock mach...gears and exhaust will put it into the 12s

There are a few mach's that run in the 12's bone stock but they are rare...Put DR's on a mach and there are several in the 12's.

From a dig I would bet on the mach but from a 40+ roll I would bet on the WS6..

I haven't been to a track in 10 years and a couple of weeks ago I ran 13.5 stock with a pathetic 2.2 60ft.

I should get into the 12's easy with my mods now..If I could just learn how to launch...

MAC[H]Z is correct, the Machs are quicker off the line and the LS1s have the top end advantage.

I ran the time on the attached timeslip with nothing more than a shifter, stock everything else. They run well.

Essentially though, between the two it's a drivers drag race.
