Help with shocks for cobra?

My shocks are pretty much gone on the cobra and am wondering what I should replace them with. My springs are stock as well and all I am looking for is stock height. I seem to be able to only find Koni adjustable for close to $600+. I was wondering if I had any choices on this. Thanks for the help.

Tokico has both adjustable and non adjustable ones and they are pretty reasonable. That's what the majority of people here are using. Are you looking for springs as well, can't really understand what you meant in your message. Steeda has springs that will lower your ride height approximately 1 1/4".
I have heard questionable things about the KYB AGX adjustable struts and shocks.

Thanks for the response, and sorry for the confusion. I have stock suspension right now but I do not think I want to buy stock shocks/struts. My body kit and being in New England does not really allow for any lowering of my vehicle, so I was just looking for shocks/struts that would maintain my current ride height. So the suggestion of Tokico is great I just have not been able to find the non-adjustable ones. Thanks again, any more opinions or ideas are more than welcome!

missouriguy, where did you get your strange shocks? How do you like then? Do you auto-x or open track with them? I've heard good things about them, and I'd like something to go with my pro-kit springs. Thanks.

I bought them directly from Strange http://www.strangeengineering.net They are on page 49...

Jegs.com also carries them but they are a little more $$ there...

I use them for drag racing because they can be adjusted really loose for the fronts...But I bet they would work really good for auto-x and open coursing...They can get really really really firm...I run on the street with them on setting 4 in front and 5 in back and it's almost too stiff for normal roads...10 would be unbearable on the street...They really let the front end raise up when I'm dragging though...

missouriguy,

Thanks for the reply, I'll look into these a little more. I'm sure we would all like some koni double adjustables, but they're just too much money. How is the quality of them? Are they pretty easy to adjust? Thanks again.

Vik

They are steel so they are about the same weight as the stock ones, good build quality though...What you would expect from Strange...The adjustment knob is on the bottom of the shock/strut...the rears are really easy to get to, just reach behind the tire and turn it...the fronts I have to turn the steering wheel to get to the knob though...No special tools/screwdrivers needed, just turn the knob with your fingers...

One thing though, they say there's 10 adjustments, I've only seen that they have 9...but that's plenty of adjustment for me since I really only use about 5 of them...
