where to get K&N FPIK????

I found this website that sells them for ajusa.com. I bought from them with no problem. The are actually a BMW/Porche specialitst, but the have a k&n store. They can provide K&N supplies for almost any car and have free shipping.

www.ajusa.com, noted above, has a good price - 204.41 - including shipping. Cheaper than I could find on E-Bay! Make sure you get the Gen 2 FIPK. Part # 57-2519-3. (Note - it's not listed under a 2004 GT, but you'll find it under a 2003 GT. Nothing's changed between these years - it'll fit.

That website says 'Up to 26 HP gain'. I doubt any car got 26 HP from just this. What are the more realistic numbers for this install?
Yeah, I doubt it too...big time. I think how they (K&N, that is) arrived at that number by doing the math from their statement (in their FAQ section), "We expect you to feel a difference when you stomp on the accelerator after installation. We have generally designed these kits to increase horsepower and torque between 5 to 10%."
So, 10% of the gross HP (260) on a new GT is 26. But I'd think their first sentence would be more realistic...a little SOTP kick, a little more throaty sound, maybe 5 - 10 RWHP, and that's probably stretching it.

The 26 hp gain is from a MM&FF Dyno Test on an 03 Cobra, and is correct.
Plus the uint for the Cobra can be had for $169.
The FIPK uses a different filter from the drop in K&N which is the direct replacement for the OEM filter.
