auto - 5 speed swap ?'s and new car info

I went on stingers site and got all of the directions and it seems pretty straight foward but i was wonderin if there were anytricks to make it easier. Are there anythings i should look out for?. Oh yea got me a car today, my boss told me to get it out of his yard and i can have it. its a blue 89, 2.3, auto, hatch, seized up motor. hey says the tranny has a shift kit in it but i dont know if anyone wants it i will sell it for cheap( 20-30 bucks), really clean grey cloth interior and a sunroof. needs a good washin and waxin and one taillight but otherwise its a good lookin lil car. im gonna build my 2.3 turbo and put it under the hood. thanks

I am getting the parts together to do the same thing myself. I have been told the easiest way to make it simple is to follow the directions the first time.

I have one suggestion. Replace the plastic quadrant with a metal one on your pedal assembly b4 you swap it in. Mine broke the 2nd time I pushed in the clutch after the swap. that plastic quadrant is very difficult to remove with the pedal assy in the car.

also don't forget to hook the speedo cable back up b4 installing the pedal assy.
