I went to NYIRP Friday night. My first time ever running the car.I have a 02 gt pretty much stock,I was on stock wheels and goodyears. My first run was against a stock 04 mach1 on stock goodyears. It was 81 deg. and 100% relative humidity! Traction was a big issue,I need a set of drag radials bad.Does my mph and 1/4 seem about right with my 60' ??
I ran 60' 2.315 1/4 14.438 @99.52 mach1 60' 2.224 1/4 14.045 @102.21

Both of you need to learn how to launch. Youd be in the flat 14s w/ a 1.9-2.0 60ft. The mach driver needs to be slapped he should be in the mid 13s w/ a decent 60.
Agreed the mach driver needs to wake up a little.. In defense of 'delta,' its hard launching with 18's. When I went to the track first time it was with 18's and I couldn't pull anything below sub 2.3's on the 60..

Both of you were definately spinning thru first.

Thanks for the support, but I was on stock 17" bullits w/ stock 245 goodyears

my buddy cut a 1.865 60ft last night at the track. he has chrome 18x9.5 2000 cobra R's, with 275/35 street tire rubber on them. needless to say we were all shocked

wow.. he slips clutch very well. which street tires if you don't mind me asking.. ia've got 275/35's as well.. but they are kumho 712's which blow for launching.

i think they are yokohama avs100's, i will double check with him later though. that was the only 60ft he cut like that, the rest were 2.0-2.1, which is still not bad at all, especially since it was his first time at the track

you're times are pretty much on par...like others have posted, you knock down your 60ft, your ET's will follow.

as far as the mach, he trapped a little lower than I would've expected...with that 60ft he should've been high 13's not low 14's...

probably track prep is what got you...

Ive raced a mach-1 and ran a 13.9@99 mph to his 13.5@103 mph(5-speed) about a month ago. That mach 1 has run a 13.3@ 104 mph as witnessed by me, stock I might add, while most lightly modded 99+GT's (gears, exhaust, CAI) run anywhere from 13.7-14.2@100-98mph. Just depends on track prep, temp, driver and altitude.

What is everyones definition of stock when talking about Mach1's?

How is a car with less than 340fwhp running low 13's? And don't give me the under rated story. They even weigh a tad bit more than a GT too.

Psssst, Most Mach1's are high 13 second cars. I've only seen modded ones run better.

No most drivers are high 13 second drivers, it's not the cars fault. Learn how to launch and where to shift your car wheather it's a 5 speed or auto and times will vastly improve. It was a big learning curve for me going from a 2 valve to a 4 valve motor. Practice makes perfect, a lot of drivers take their cars to the track a few times to see what they will do and have fun, those are the people running these times.

Amen, brother! I took my Mach 1 just as it came from the dealership (can't get much more "stock" than that!), and turned a 13.19 @105. Took it back to the track over a year later with a few mods done to it, but couldn't match the time it laid down stock!! The trap speed increased from 105 to 107-108mph, but the et wouldn't come in any lower than a 13.2!

Stock I never got mine below 13.9, but I only tried 3 passes a week after I got the car. The next day I had the exhaust put on & when I brought it back out I hit 13.5@105. My 60 foot's are pathetic though. I've never bested 2.2 60'. Near plans include beefing the rear to run X10.5 Drag Radials. That should drop my time to hopeully either a 13 flat or 12.9.
