how do you want to wire it? use a controller, switch, both, etc. be sure to use a CB on the wire to the fan itself (from the relay's N/O terminal).

good luck.

I'd like to just wire it to a relay that turns it on at a certain temperature. I think that is the easiest and simpleist method.
gotcha. the unit Ryde On listed is reportedly awesome (Yount, himself, and Tom are three guys i can think of whom run one). it is also probably (guys?) the easiest to wire up, since the controller takes care of the 'switching' (no relays as far as i know).

otherwise, the controller you get should come with instructions (the wiring of some units varies). i think i will go with a DcControl unit when the time comes.

good luck.

click there. Its not cheap, but its good and you will save on relays. I plan to purchase one of these soon. My setup is still working good though so its not a real priority.

I have been commiting a crime. Update for the few of you who remember. I am still running my taurus fan on low speed only off a switch and 30amp relay with my 2g alt. Its been going for 3yrs now on the same cheap POS alt. and stock wiring. It still draws only 11 amps hot, and under 25 amps on start-up. Engine doesnt see over 185* with it on. My 3 yr free replacement battery only made it 2 yrs before crapping out. That can be attributed to the stereo draining it with the car off though. I use it as a juke box sometimes in the yard. :D
