FP = fuel pressure.

There is a schrader valve on the fuel rail. It is on the passenger side fuel rail kinda of behind the alternator. You can put a fuel pressure gauge on there and check for fuel pressure.

Hissin is right look at jrichker's checklist. He has a lot of info on his site. Look him up by screenname and there is a link to his page in his sig.

here is a link to Joe's list:

i would omit the first part about ignition interlock devices (bad or no signal to the solenoid).

check for spark and Fuel pressure and go from there. post what parts you dont get or are not sure of. :) that's why we are here (but it would take 10 pages to go through it all).

good luck.

pull one of the spark plug wires and put a long screwdriver inside the boot and make sure it is touching the metal contact. the have somebody crank the car over while you hold to metal part of the driver to the header or intake or anything metal that is grounded. don't touch the screw driver to the metal, just barely hold it over the metal to see if a spark jumps over, it should be blue but and orange spark will run a car. it it sparks, then check the fuel pump inertaio switch. it is by the driver's side taillight in the trunk, behind the padding. the button on top should be pushed down but it might be up.
