I rolled out of my parking lot at work in 2nd gear and floored it all the way to 6k. I went to shift into 3rd and the tranny wouldn't go, so then I tried 4th and that wouldn't work. I pulled over to the side of the road and I couldn't put the car into any gear. Then I realized that the clutch felt alot lighter, but I could still hear the throwout bearing grind when I pressed the clutch in so I knew it was engaging a little bit. I looked up under the dash at the clutch and nothing looked brooken. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm not really familiar with the clutch mechanism in my car.

do you have to stock quadrant...if so start by replacing that or trying to adjust it by pulling up on the pedal until you hear it click and than push it all the way down. see if that helps at all. if that doesnt work than you might have to pull the tranny.

Also you may have stretch your cable when you slapped it into 2nd. Go with a FACTORY adjustable cable, aftermarket ones stretch even easier.
last time i checked, the factory cable is not adjustable (unless you mean the FRPP adjustable cable). the quadrant and pawl on a stock clutch set up is what allows the adjustment, not the cable.

a FWA will likely be needed with a stock cable and aftermarket (non adjustable) quadrant. :)
