I recently posted but it was deleted to to Server crash.

How is this carb for my set up now I just sent back my Speed Demon 750 for a Speed Demon with mechanical secondaries. How do you think this car will work?

DSS Pro bullet 331 stroker
aprox 10.8:1 compression
Trick flow twisted wedge heads
Harland Sharp 1.6 Rockers
Victor Jr. intake manifold
X303 Camshaft

World Class T-5
3.55 or 3.73 rear gear

Car weight is about 2100 with driver
Factory Five AC Cobra kit car

What do you think about carb choice? to much? not enough now? anything you'd do different?

thanks

With a car this light I figured that the Victor jr. would be a good choice. Supposed to have killer mid to top. I didn't want too much carb but I figure the car doesn't need to much to get it rolling pretty good at only 2100 with driver!

It does but for the power you gain down low with the Air-Gap you will make up for it on top. It really isn't that far off on top from the Victor Jr.

Here's a good example for you. I run a Quickfuel ProVac 650. The motor loves it. A friend of mine swore I needed a 750. We went to the track, made two passes with the 650 for a base, then swapped in a 750 Holley. I lost 4/10ths of a second. My 60' times were the same, but the car dropped off on the top end. Thats all I needed to see.

I think your 750 will be fine. You've got more cubes and good heads with a massive intake. A 600 would be way to small. Remember, you can jet that 750 down to run good on a Honda civic.

31 extra cubes is not enough for a 750 when a 600 is slightly too big for a 302. if this was a 460 then the 750 is good, but not a small 302 based stroker. if you jet it down then you will still have too much air flow and it would not be good.

Unless you're spinning it to almost 8,000 rpms. :D Mine's a 750 ported,polished, etc flowing around 850.
