I believe most longtubes work ok w/ P heads because they come out further from the head. That is why shorties have problems.

No personal experience, but that's what I would say.

yea thats the general consensus, but I want to make sure of what headers have worked for other people.

Yep, and I had to do some work with a BFH to get them to clear on the #4 plug. You will need 90* wires and a heat bootie on that plug too. I would reccomend tossing the header bolts that come with it and use a set with 3/8, 5/16, or allen heads. I also painted mine with VHT 1200* silver header paint.

Likely not what you want to hear, but i don't think it's the smartest to go cheap on the heads, and expensive on the headers.

I'd sell the heads, and use the $300 that you are going to put into the headers toward better heads.

oh, I got ya now. Anyone every used the flowtechs that summit sells for 110? what about the summit headers (doubt ill buy these, just asking)

I've heard good and bad, but with GT40p's not much of a option. I'm not sure if it's flowtech but there is a header that comes in pieces you can part together. Good Luck!

Longtubes for $110?? They must be made of paper....
I went and checked, and believe it or not they are listed for $109, with bolts, and gaskets!

Remember you get what you pay for. I wouldn't dream of using them.

Also keep in mind you now need a new H pipe, but if the longtubes cost that much, i figure the h pipe to be about 20 bucks.
