***(Update with Pics!)Really need help figuring out which rotors I have...***

I've got a rear disc brake conversion in my car that came with it when I bought it. It has the rear diff that is .75" longer on each side than a factory 87-93 Mustang diff. Anyway, the rotors on my car right now are 10.5" in diameter, have 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern, and are vented rotors (vented down the center, not a solid rotor).

Can anyone tell me what rotors these are? I've machined them before and they need to be turned again. They're getting pretty skinny.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The rear end sounds like a 87-88 Tbird Turbo Coupe. The rotors are a big question mark. I would like to know as well, because if I ever do a 5 lug conversion, I will need some.

I have replaced the pads with Tbird turbo coupe pads, which fit perfect, and I also had to replace the caliper anchor brackets (where the pads fit into) because the slide pins were rusted and siezed in them. The only funny part is that it had 2.73 gears in the rear (tcoupes came with 3.73 gears) and the rotors and axles are 5 lug, where as far as I know the turbo coupes were all four lug.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Sounds thunderbird/'93 CObra to me.

SN95 GT's have 10" rear rotors that are solid. They are 1/2" thick.

Cobras are vented, but are 11.65" in diameter.

That only leaves the T-bird/'93 Cobra

They were all 4 lug: the 87-88 T-Bird Turbo Coupe & 93 Cobra are the same rear axle. I have the T-Bird Turbo Coupe rear in in my 89 GT & it is 4 lug.

I would also like to know where to get 5 lug rotors that fit a TC rear end.

Dammit, i totally had a brain fart on that one.

Well anyway GT SN95 rotors are not vented, so i'm curious now as to what 10.5 venter rotors he is running.

MH'88notch, can you get us pics of the brake setup?

I could be off a bit on the measurement. I'm pretty sure I measured them at 10.5" when I machined them last, but it was a while ago. I guess I should pull the wheels and double check to make sure. I can get pics but it's nighttime right now and the wheels are on the car, so it'll have to be tommorrow.

Anyone know what size 85/86 SVO rear rotors are?

Do they look like mine?

Cadillac rear calipers, with Lincoln Mark 7 rotors.

The reason the caliper setup looks different is because those are caddilac calipers.

There really are only two possibilities on what they are.

Option #1 is Cobra rear brakes, with 11.65" rotors

Option #2 is Mark 7/SVO rear brakes, with 11.35" rotors.

Just take a rotor off and go to a parts store with it and ask to see rotors for those two vehicles and match it up.

I'm starting to think they are SVO rotors.

WHat brake setup do you have up front?

Turbo coupes are 4-lug.

That means someone customized the TC setup for 5-lug. They got 5-lug axles and redrilled the TC rotors for 5 lug.
Tha'ts odd - MH88'Notch made no mention of any extra holes. I have seen a picture on this site of a 5 lug, 10.5 vented rotor, but the same question came up - what car was it off of?
