Guess the mystery parts in my oil pan!

Took the oil pan off today to fix a leak and of course everything went smoothly until I found these in the oil pan:

I "think" I know where they came from...
and if I'm right no harm done.
Just to get a size perspective, both parts could sit on top of a penny.
Any one want to guess where they came from?

I have no idea where they came from, I just know stuff isn't supposed to fall off lol.

On a Cleveland, there are little fasteners like that, they hold the "turkey pan" under the intake. Does a 302 have them?

My 289 has that "turkey pan", and the rivets look just like those.

Valve cover breather baffles rivets? I'm guessing it is from the 347 and it does not have a stock intake.

In my case something like that in the oil pan would have come from my mother in law!

yep that's my bet to. i've actually had one fall out on me before too, but it just kind of sat there in the valve cover and i found it changing the VC gasket

if you need that baffle in thereto keep the oil out of the PCV, you can loctite them back in, provided it wasn't a roccker arm that beat them out.

I had to remove the baffles from mine for clearance, the price I paid for keeping the old school Cobra covers with new heads and roller-rockers.

A stock351C does not have what you describe. The "turkey pan" is part of the thin metal one-piece intake gadket.

same way the oil makes it back to the pan, im assuming the rivets were small enough to fall thru the drain passage on the heads

I'd use JB Weld.

Uhh..

Do you mean valve cover baffle? I've never heard of anyone running into intake-rocker arm clearance problems before.
