So did you use the stock calipers in the back with a bigger rotor? Which rotor did you go with? Stock size?

Baer Eratadspeed rotors here, with Mach 1 calipers, Hawk pads and SS lines (wanted black calipers).

You can use the stock GT calipers on the rear...but the fronts have to be swapped.

Also I believe you need to run an 18' rims if you go with 13' rotors at least that's what it said on FRPP web site.

I HOPE this isn't true....just ordered the cobra set from steeda....and I have 17s

If you do a search you will find out that you do not need to upgrade to 18" tires as long as you have tires that will fit the back spacing of the 13" Rotors. This means Cobra Rims or Some of the aftermarket rims will fit.

You can't run a 13" rotor with the stock GT calipers because I think that they are thicker than the stock rotors. I could be wrong on this though.

Not to mention the curvature of the caliper is totally different. You need to use Cobra calipers with the 13" rotor. As you can see, the GT caliper wouldn't cover the entire rotor.

No, you will need different axle brackets and anti-moan brackets as well.

This kit has all you need for a rear Cobra conversion.

Yes...stock GT calipers with the Baer eratispeed rear rotors...same size as the cobra rear rotors (11.5" I think). But I had to buy a FRPP kit with new brakets etc. (fuggin kit comes with way too much...even includes a stock set of rear FRPP cobra rotors...so I just sold the FRPP rotors)

My wheels are 17 x 8 up front, and we had to add a 7/16" drop in wheel spacer to clear the new brakes...so we swapped in longer ARP studs to compensate for the extra distance.

No clearance issues with my rear wheels (17 x 9.5 in the rear)...but we added a set of 1" hubcentric spacers...so the rear wheels sit where they should now.

I'm running 13" Cobra brakes from a '98 Cobra on a '96 GT with no problems on stock 17" rims. I can definately feel a difference in braking power between stock GT and Cobra brakes.
