Alright, sorry for another one of these threads but I want a personalized combo advice session

Alright, the current mods are:

1. 3:73 Gears
2. BBk H-Pipe
3. Flowmaster Exhaust
4. Vortech SC-Trim Super Charger (@ 6 Psi)

This winter the car will be parked so there will be a lot of downtime to work on it. The plan is to get a set of Thumper Heads and a Typoon Intake. I've decided on these for two reasons. Price and effectiveness. I've seen people with this combo and the boost turned up put the Power into block splitting territory. :nice: Anyways, I do not know what I should get as far as...

1. TB
2. MAF
3. Injectors
4. Cam

I need to know what TB, MAF, and Injector combo will work best with the mentioned combo and the boost turned up to around 10psi.

CAM: It has to be blower friendly and off the shelve. I really dont want to mess around with a custom grind. I've thought about just keeping the stock cam and running some 1.7rr's. I've heard people say it still gives a slight cam sound and a few HP and that the stock cam is a fairly good blower cam as it is.. so what should I do?

So, if anyone has any opinions please let the advice fly and if you could give me a little reason why its best to go with your advice.

70mm tb, 42lb injectors, prefessional mass air 80mm maf, AFM blower cam. You could do the stock cam/1.7 thing. Judging by your parts selection, you're not going for big power so maybe that'll be good for you.

Big Power is subjective :p

I really just want to go deep into the 12's with a good set of slicks and still keep the car as a DD. I believe the boost should make up for lack of expensive heads.

Edit: Are 42lb injectors really neccessary? I've heard people having problems getting 42lb injectors to feed the idle and wot correctly... usually the idle is the messed up instance with 42lb lnjectors... of course, this is just coming from hear-say I could have just been listening to a bad source. Will a slightly smaller injector be able to feed the engine without a FMU. (Im not against 42lb injectors, just curious as to if they are actually needed)

You might be able to pick up a explorer intake cheaper than the Typhoon. You could also send the lower to TMOSS.

Like Mike said go with the 70mm TB, 80 mm Mass Air. As for the 42lbs injectors you can probably get away with 36's but do it right the first time and get the 42's. This way you will have room to grow in the future. Then you can ditch the FMU.
