Today while I was idling, it was pretty cold outside about 50, the car was warming up and for some reason the oil gauge fluctuated from very low to normal, staying at each for about 5 seconds. After that I couldn't replicate it...anyone know what's up?

There is a TSB on this I believe. It is a faulty oil sending unit. My car does the same thing. One it first warms up the gauge will bounce from low back to normal. Tempreture outside doesn't really seem to effect it. I have left my car in the 100F sun and started it and the gauge still does this. I seems once you hit around 160F it will stop.:flag:

Mine used to do that too, so I replaced the oil sending unit and it hasn't done it since. A guy at work also has a 90 Bronco that did the same thing and it was the oil sending unit.
