WHERE IS the blend door??

OK, awesome pic, now this: Is the blend door then the big one you can see if you look under the passenger footwell. When I turn my control knob from the Off position to the vent position, that door opens.
Is there another door that opens or closes when I adjust the heat from hot to cold that could be malfunctioning?

The blend door is the mechnical one that connects ot the "heat/cool" knob (temp blend door). The one on the driver's foot well side is the one that diverts air from the winshield/footwells to the dash vents heat/degrsot door).

so then the blend door is the one that I can see opening when I turn the knob from "Off" to "vent"?
Is it supposed to have any more movement when I turn the knob from hot to cold?
basically, my heat will blow a little warm, but certainly not hot. The heater core has been flushed, heater hoses are hot, T-stat is a balanced Mr. Gasket 180*.
There is a leak from a broken water pump bolt, but even then i think the heat should be better than lukewarm, so just checking all options.

yeah, but even when I top it off and burp it, before it has a chance to leak, it's still not hot. i top it off daily, it never gets TOO low.
Even my fiance's Tbird which has a radiator leak, still singes your eyebrows with its heat.

are you sure your thermostat is opening all the way, and when you flushed your heater core, are you sure its circulating all the way thru?

well this may or may not help but I recently bought a Turbocoupe and it had little to no heat whatsoever. well i chaget the thermostat, flushed the whole colling system and even flushed the heater core seperatly to make sure it was allowing coolant through. Well everything checked out and i still had no heat ( and it was 17deg out brrr.) So i finally said "F" it i'll do the dreaded heatercore which is just as bad as doing the stangs. Well my heater core had some slimey green sludge but no coolant in the box or on the floor. It also wasn't blocked ( I THOUGHT) well i Cut the core apart and found that 80% of it was blocked allowing some but not nearly enough coolant through so all in all I have heat now. You could be having the same issue.. Just a thought

yeah, you might be right, killer.
I checked my vac hoses, and all "appear"' to be connected and still pliable, and I can see the cale and arm for the blend door open, and can hear the flapping when I turn it to cool, but I suppose there's no wat actually see the door open and close w/o taking it apart, right?
Killer, did you feel both your heater hoses before you swapped the core? Were they both hot? Warm? 1 cold?
A heater core swap is like a 6 hour job, right?
