Can anyone suggest the best heads to use for adding HP. I plan on supercharging eventually. I want to maintain street driveability and highway use. Is there a head manufactured that would be good for a daily driver and allow good gains for a supercharger?

You're either in the wrong forum, or you went and bought another Mustang and forgot to update your sig?

if you're trying to buy heads for your v6, don't. you'll spend far too much money for poor gains (compared to a v8). buy a new mustang, cobra if funds allow.

why I continue to mod my 2v? I do not know.

PI heads will easily flow enough with a blower to overpower a stock 2V bottom end. Unless you're building a monster with a complete forged rotating assembly, I'd stick with stock PI units. They can be had pretty cheap, they flow well, their ports & cams lend themselves to maintaining good low RPM torque (you're looking for a good daily driver, right?)

You can mill out the emissions dam in the combustion chamber to take a tick or two off the compression (more blower friendly) if you like. If you go this route and are using junkyard parts, then while they're apart treat them to a good valve job.

I met up with a couple Mustang owners, and there were 2 Mach 1s with very minimal mods with 300 at the wheels. Ill be lucky to have that much after I'm done with my mods :owned:

geeze....my GOAL is 300 rwhp. And that will take everything in my sig + a possible Long Tube header change over + stage II cams and a tune + CAI. And look at all my mods already.... :nonono:

SORRY GUYS. I SCREWED UP!!! I have three Mustangs and only one Sig!
The car I am seekiong help on is a 2000 Mustang GT Convertible.
I have few modifications, Trickflow Plenum, Accufab 70 ML Throttle Body,
K&N Filterpac CAI

I would just look at the bench flow numbers of some of the bigger brands. I have been looking at heads for quite awhile now, eg. hours into reading and if I was going to go out and by a pair of heads tomorrow, and my equation was horsepower per dollar I would look into the steen racing heads. I havent heard any bad reports and there prices seem to be very competitive. Of course this is the same with MPH but from what I have seen they seem to be bit on the high side...

i'm certainly not an expert at swapping heads, buit i am certainly getting a set. my personal plan is to get them and a 2 covers. the only mismatch i have ever heard of is the cover. i will get 2 covers, a navi and one that goes with what ever heads i buy. cut and graft wherever there is a mismatch. drill steamholes or any other changes that need to be made. i only expect a cover mod.

the 05 3v block that had 4v put on it for the aluminum block had the front cover modded. MMFF this year.if i have to do a cover mod i will certain publish it here.
