 I crossed my battery terminals for about 4-5 seconds and now my tail lights running lights and dash lights won't work. I checked the fuse and it was popped. I replaced it and it popped it again. I tryed changing the switch and that didn't work. Please help. Thanks

you probly melted sh-it that's not good I seen that happen and smoke was comming from a lot of wires. you will probly need to check all your wires and replace a few. I don't know what that will do to the computer but someone will be able to tell you more.

As suggested, check the feed wires off the starter solenoid. Look for melted links and bare wires.

If that's ok, trace down each component in the circuit with the fuse that keeps popping.

Good luck.

a fusable link looks just like another wire. I think they are yellow but not 100% sure on that one. To test them you just bend them and if it feels real loose in some parts you need to replace it. I think that is how it works. Hopefully somebody will back me up on this one.

A fusible link is a wire (color depends upon rating) with a lump of insulation in the middle. As I mentioned, as well as someone else, check the links. They are located off the starter solenoid. IF you find that you dont have continuity at both sides of a given link or the link feels like gooey, chances are you found an issue. The links are the first line of circuit protection for many circuits on the car.

Good luck.

^^^Agreed Dawg FTW

Most of the wires on that car are fusible link and they can all burn out... that kept you from setting your car on fire or blowing something more important :D
