What would it take to run these brakes on our cars?

I know they're for 96+, but what's the main difference? I imagine it has to do with the 4 piston calipers. I'm trying to find a 13in. kit on a budget and don't want to spend over $500

Thanks guys

They should work. I don't know of any differences between 94-95 and 96-98 as far as brakes. Maybe it has to due with a different brake booster/master cylinder. If that's the case, then they'll definitely work, just a slightly different feel in the brake pedal.

I know it says '96-'98 when you click on application .... but read the paragraph at the bottom of that page. Here, I'll post it. It says it will upgrade to '94-'98 Cobra brakes.

If you're looking for a good set of brakes for your Mustang GT, these SHD disc brake fits from Ford Racing have you covered. These kits will upgrade the front brakes to 1994-98 Cobra 13 in. rotors and calipers. Designed for use with your stock rear disc brake kits, these kits include hoses and attaching parts.

SHD = Mach1 = Cobra = Bullit = 2 piston calipers and 13" rotors. the logos and colors only vary.

Only the 2000 cobra R breaks are 4-piston brembos

Who said Summit is retarded?

well under the description they say...

"Disc Brakes, Front, SHD, 13 in. Diameter Rotors, 4-Piston Calipers, Ford, Mustang, Kit "

that's why I was confused

Haha ... I called Summit about that. I told the guy that those can't be 4 piston. He swears that they ARE. So I asked him how he knew .... he said he knew because that's what the site says. :nonono:

that kit will work fine, but you will end up with a stiffer brake pedal after all is said and done. the M-2300-Q is the kit for the 94-95, the only difference being that the M-2300-Q comes with a new master cylinder to keep the pedal feel stock and the M-2300-R does not. check out www.johnbleakleyford.com. i picked mine up from there. $385 for the 96-98 kit and $440 for the 94-95 kit.
