I need a new CCRM

I need a new CCRM, mine is fried. When I try to start my car it does do anything except make a tick sound coming from ccrm and the temp guage goes all the way up It doesnt start or nothing, I need to find a place to get a new one, where would be a good place to get one? :bang:

Sorry I made a second post

Do you get any power to things like injectors? It kinda sounds like you lost power from the EEC relay (which is indeed inside the CCRM, as I recall).

Seems like the dealer is the only way to get a CCRM new. Or hit the J/Y or classifieds.

FWIW, the temp gauge has nothing to do with anything puter-related. I would check underhood fuses before replacing anything. You can probe CCRM wires to see if the relay is getting it's common, coil and signals and has output.

Good luck.

Paul, for something like the WOT relay (guessing that might be what you need, given the work you were doing), you could wire up an external relay in lieu of the CCRM's relay.

I didnt suggest this for Koniz because an external relay is arguably not as reliable as the OEM relay, and I didnt want to see his car stall out if the relay goes south. But for a WOT relay (which is at rest most of the time and isnt crucial to keeping the car running), it's something to consider.

Good luck.

well the mechanic checked out the ccrm completely. it started out as trying to figure why the a/c compressor wasn't getting power. that led to having to test the ccrm--this guy's a buddy, so i don't think he's trying to pull my chain.

upon tapping it, the car almost shut off. guess the fuel relay's going bad, and the a/c clutch wouldn't turn on before we messed w/ it.

what if i just wired up seperate relays for each one the ccrm controls? that way if one goes out, i'd just have to replace that one relay isntead of the whole unit?

should i just get a ccrm? if so, where for a good deal? does it have to be out of a 94-95 gt? thanks, gents.

CCRM = Constant Control Relay Module.

Rob, I dont believe a V6 version works. I have seen cross references for compatibility and even they dont agree (there's confusion).

Joe (Synned) recently went through a ton of crap with his WOT relay. He came up with a nice reference article if it helps.

You could do a stand alone relay, but I'd hate for one to fail (I've had Bosch 30 amp relays take a periodic dump on me). THis would leave you high and dry, possibly causing an accident. Your call - we can help you do it if you choose to.

I'm not sure what tapping the CCRM means.

Good luck Paul.

thanks, JT. i really wouldn't want to risk it, so i'll just go with replacing it.

so where can i get one, aside from fomoco, and get a good deal? i know where there's a 95 gt (local jy), but how can i be sure it works?
