HID 8000K INSTALLED **PICS**

I've had the HIDs installed for just over a year now, and I've loved them ever since i installed them.
I bought the sylvania silverstars - i think they're the same 8000 or 8400...
either way, the light is white white white... with a tad of blue.

i suggest everyone get the blue/amber corner bulbs too, especially those who have clear corners...

like i said, had em for a year, would never go back.

regardless of what i drove.

i know i have a whole set of bulbs because i didn't like a few sets.
i have some xenons too... and some canadian tire junk 'immitation'
are those HIDs?

Doug, HID kits come with small ballasts for each bulb (little black boxes)

i do not recommend buying from this guy, just because he has had some trouble in the past for conning ppl out of their money. i got lucky because i did a person to person swap.

I hear ya man...I have the silverstars too and I was a little let down after spending $50+ on bulbs

tell me about it.
that's exactly what i thought.

i bought clear corners too... and they don't match up like the stock ones do.
i don't know, but whenever i've purchased aftermarket stuff, it hasn't been up to par on my standards.

and it's not like the stuff is cheap, by any means.

i'm w/ you both, doug and therian. the silverstars look nice and the output is def better than stock, but HID's are ftw over all others!

deadlast: the output is so much better w/ those projectors! the only problem w/ projector headlights (the ones i have, at least) is that they aren't as clean-looking as those smoked headlights matt and some other guys have. i ordered them and plan to do a projector retro-fit, but it's gonna be a shame to hack up those seksy lights.

Do you need those headlights for them, what would happen if you put them in standard cobra style headlight housing?

They would be a lot brighter

the output of HID's via projectors is much more clean, sharp, and better disbursed.

lots of people complain about glare from people putting them in standard halogen housings.

Mine are in factory cobra housings and i love them but those projectors look good too.

on my projectors, the low beam is a 9006. i'm pretty sure it's the same w/ his.
