Here is my beater, its a 2006 Mazda 6

It finally gets in the garage because the mustang is in hibernation.

2.3 Its my DD that I use for work so the 4 banger was a better option. I drive 35-40K miles a year just on the Mazda so gas mileage was a bigger concern than performance. That and with rebates I paid less than 17K out the door brand new.

My Mazda 6i is the same as yours but I didn't get mine for as cheap. I drive 750miles a week (36,000 a year) Sounds like we had the same idea.
The 2.3 has plenty of spirit.

My Fusion also has the same 2.3L. It's a 5 spd auto. Really dead off the line but not bad after that. Good on gas though.

Ran a 17.00@83 mph .

Funny... While you guys are putting your cars up for the winter I'm breaking mine out more often! The cool weather makes it run so much stronger.... I hate driving my car in the summer down here, drop in perfomance, bugs, bird droppings, etc. Winter time driving in the South is where its at!

Yeah you can actually turn off the a/c and cruz with the windows down. But my summer ride is a 98 F-150....
