Bought a 96 GT w/blown engine, what should I replace it with?

yea, i was thinking the same thing. i dont know how soon you wanted to do this, but im pulling my short block in july and id give it to you cheap. you would have to go find some pi heads to go with it for 300 bucks. i already sold my old heads.

anyway, my car almost has about 12,000 miles on it.

I appreciate the offers guys but I would rather buy a motor already together. I would like to make this project as easy as possible. There are a few people that can help with this project but I'm trying to save money doing it myself. The $2000 is for a motor and what ever labor is involved. The main thing about this project is getting the old motor out and the new motor dropped in, after that I feel comfortable doing the rest of the work.
