They don't always seal. Most of the time when you get everything together they seal just from being a nice tight fit. I've had to use orange silicone on mine before though. My car is so loud I usually can’t tell if mine are leaking or not.

Orange silicone? I might have to find some of that, my pass side header is leaking at the collector. Driver side is nice and tight.

Make sure to put the silicone on the individual tubes not inside the collector. That way any excess gets pushedout where you can wipe it up rather than into the collector where it becomes a big rubber glob that restricts your exhaust. I figured that out the hard way.

BTW I had to send my headers back twice before they corrected the problem. I have to hand it to them though they spent a lot of time with me in order to get it right. At the end I was speaking to Mr. Kook himself. He said "It's my name on the side of the building and it's my name on the those headers, If it's not right I'm going to make it right".

I am sending pics of the finished product to them so they can use the new measurements for perhaps a re-design.

:jaw: Ohh my , so basicaly they are 1k headers and hoping that they seal?? absolutely no pun intended nor any flame to the brand or the owners, i think they are the best looking headers i have ever seen. but i dont see any good thing on the O2 sensors , any way once they are sealed they must be really bad ass! sounding , looking , and functional l/t :hail2:

Well my headers are not coated and I only spent about half of that. At the time I bought my headers Kooks was about the only option for a large tube full-length header that fit my car. If they don't seal it can definitely mess up your 02's. In a long tube like that it doesn't really matter if the 02's are there or not. Most of the time they aren't working anyways. I ended up removing my 02’s.
