? about off-road h-pipe

Yes it will. Shortie header and the stock headers (basically shorties themselves, just with some kinks in the primarys) have pretty much the same dimensions when it comes to h pipes.

yes they should work fine. Since the factory exhaust was a 2 1/4 inch system you will have no trouble mounting the 2 1/2 in off road h-pipe to them. On a F-150 however it is a different story. The stock manifolds ball is a 1 and 3/4 i believe and the 2 1/2 inch flange on a off road y-pipe won't seal.

My only question is, Why not replace the stock manifolds with headers?

because the notch is just my beater everyday driver car. i dont wanna put foolish money into it when i dont have to. one of my cats is clogged thats the only reason i'm getting an off road h pipe. my LS1 is where my foolish money goes cuz they are just a lil bit faster than five0's:D

Come on you know this is not true. It all depends on How much foolish money a guy wants to invest in his 5.0. Just curious if your LS1 would take my foolishly money modded 5.0L. 11.5's. 10's soon to come.

They fit, and I have done it. Headers for a stock 5.0L are pointless. Your spend an afternoon in the garage, end up with busted knuckles, holes in the drywall of your garage, and then the test drive reveals no gains!!!
