im in need of longer REAR wheel studs for my 65coupe c code 289 rear drum. does anybody know what thread specs they are so i know what to order? i know the length and thread pitch i belive. but what exactly is the knurl? and how do i know what size it is?
and if anybody has bought longer ones, if remembered, part numbers would be great.

knurl is the size of the hole in which the stud goes through and gets pressed agianst. sorry i forgot what the size is. bang a stud out and measure the large area under the head.

You should be able to get them locally from an automotive parts store or tire shop.

Easiest thing to do is bring in an old stud and say "I need one like this but 1/2" longer" You'll be out of there within 15minutes and you can be sure you get the right studs.

agreed, this makes it much easier to get the parts you need rather than having to order them and then send them back several times, even if you have to drive all over town to get them.
