I was the driver and have nothing but a sore neck. My passenger has a bruised knee.

Ford definitely earned a loyal customer.

The explorer that pulled out in front of me ended up on it's roof, and the two people inside were injured, but it didn't seem to be anything too severe. I haven't heard anything since the incident though.

And yes, those are my brand new calipers and rotors that I spent the whole weekend installing two weeks ago.:nonono:

I guess the question now is 07 GT or 03-04 Cobra.

Holy ****..... glad everyone's OK. How fast were you going?

Was talking to a chevy-lovin friend a few months ago. He said something about "wrecked mustangs are always totalled." Well the reason is right there. The more damage the car takes, the less you take.

And to answer the question... Coooooobraaaaaa

I was probably doing 50 at impact because I had slowed down approaching the intersection. There was a box truck making a U-turn that blocked the vision of the yield on green left turn lane where the explorer came from. I could see coming up to it that it was just a recipe for trouble.....yep.

I didn't even think about how well the Mustang held up until some onlooker started talking to me about it. No glass broke, foot boxes didn't impact, airbags deployed properly. The trunk even opened so I got my clubs and hockey equipment out.

Sorry to see your loss but glad that it save you and your friend life, just imagine if you are in some kind of small light import car then you would have got hurt bad.

Cobra's are my dream car but never could afford one, new gt looks ugly and needs lot's of body parts to make it look nice. If you are looking for power then cobra got big balls but new get with supercharger will kick stock cobra ass all day long :)

Hockey equipment? You must be Canadian :D .

Yeah, but he also said he had golf clubs....which would lead me to believe that he's American and plays for the Anaheim Ducks. He's probably just making preparations in anticipation of the shellacking they're going to get over the next 3-games from the Ottawa Senators . :D

....jokes aside, it's great to see you're ok. :nice:

good to see you are okay. i was recently in a wreck, though not quite as bad. obviously you are totalled, but they chose to fix mine. i had the same reaction you did about ford safety. everyone involved that was in my car came away with nothing more than headaches.

glad you are okay.

yeah check out svtperformance or craigslist. the good thing about svtperf. is you can check the sellers previous threads and see if he was having any issues with the car.

i would get either a 03/04 cobra or a Mach1.

did they rule it your fault for failure to yield?

did they rule it your fault for failure to yield?

His fault. I was going straight through the intersection on green. He was making the left from the main road in front of me on a solid green and didn't see me coming.

There were a few witnesses and it was pretty obvious what happened. Officer said he was writing the report with him at fault and that he had Geico, so hopefully I'll be fine.
