Yesterday I filled up the tank and immediately after I left the station I had a strong gas smell filling up the cabin. I wasn't driving hard at all. I believe this has happened in the past but I never really thought much of it at the time. Any ideas?

the seals for the pump and the fuel level sending unit become worn out and fuel pools on top of the tank and can even get into the trunk, if it starts doing it consistently you may have to drop the tank and replace the seals

If it happened after filling up, check the tank filler grommet (pass side of the tank). It might eb leaking - it happens often.

Good luck.

I've been thinking about replacing the pump for awhile now, I guess there wouldn't be a better time to check seals, etc. in the tank. Any recommendations on what size pump I should get? Mods to come include AFR heads, and a KB 2.2L

Definitely go with a 255lph pump if you're going with a forced induction setup. You'd always rather have too much that'd be diverted back to the tank than too little and you go lean and detonate.
