Just proving there's an ass for every seat. How modded was the GSX? I went for a ride in my friend's stroker GSX a few weeks ago and can't imagine trading it for a honda of any type. But then again, in canada, apparently the honda can nevar loze!! 111! Good luck with your skyline. Hope it does better than the one at Island Dragway.

Still faster than your pro-charged Mustang isn't it :rlaugh: You forgot to mention the 98.25MPH, not too bad. With pratice my car can hit the 13's without a turbo, without NAWS, without an H22A swap, or anything! I'm going back to the track with some drag radials.

I've seen maybe 1 fast Honda out of a thousand, The Yeti theory comes to mind... maybe I was just seeing things too.

The problem is that the people who actually own fast Hondas are not the ones out on the streets every night driving like idiots or causing trouble. They keep their cars tucked away 95% of the time (mostly because they arent street legal) and only bring them out for whatever it is they come out for. Probably to record videos to post on StreetFire...

The fastest Honda I have ever seen in person was a black primer 92-95 style Civic hatch. Unknown motor swap, huge turbo and intercooler (was running with no front bumper cover) fat drag radials in the front sticking out, totally gutted interior with a lightweight racing seat and he was running 12.60's. OK I will admit that is fast for a Honda its only 1.8-2.3 liters blah blah blah but he could barely turn because of the fat tires, it was 100% not street legal and trailered to the track. Basically a shell with a fat turbo. Running 12.60's at just under 110. Thats the reason I would never modify one of those things. All that work, rendering a car useless for anything other than a 12 second pass down a dragstrip, and thats all you get out of it is 12's??? I can use a turbo 4 in a Mustang and go 12's for way less work way less money and still have a comfortable, usable car. SVO anyone?? 2.3T swap anyone??? I was even able to take a gutted turbo civic hatch on the street (yeah yeah yeah it was a spur of the moment pull) in my 3500lb 97 Cobra with me (200lbs) and my 6'10" friend (345lbs) both in the car. My Cobra was a stock 13.50 car. At least that kid was cool to talk to afterwards.

Well, actually, I sorta lied. If I go by what some Honda owners have said, I have personally seen 11 second Hondas too. N/A and everything. I just didn't see them run the 1/4. I did get to see them pull out onto the highway, though. And let me tell you, if they are 11 second cars, my stock 5.0 runs 9's.

Don't defend them anymore about their capability. I realize how capable they are and its not even 1/5 of how capable a car like a Mustang is. It costs way too damn much to get anything resembling good performance out of one and when you do start achieving good numbers, the sacrifice in other areas (drivability, comfort, etc) is way too much. Add to that the fact that its always the ones with the slowest cars who cause the most trouble AND throw in that annoying ass exhaust sound and you understand why not many people here really care for them.

Sorry, got a bit of a hair up my ass this morning, lol. I will say that my friends hatch with a stock B18C swap is a fun little car to beat on, but its only good for 14.6's. At least it still has full interior and gets good gas mileage, though...and he doesn't make it out to be something that it's not. He is an example of a performance minded Honda owner who is NOT a ricer.

There's a speed/tuning shop up here that supposedly doesn't want to race at the strip because "they have to many rules", so they take it to the street.

Well, you are on a mustang forum. And it just so happens, you are in a 5.0 sub forum of that mustang forum. Not the love all brands forum. And not the love the idiot ricers who weave in and out of traffic until they crash and kill someone forum.

But here's the kicker........THIS.......is a Mustang forum. I'm not on this ****ing forum to praise Honda, or Mitsubishi, or even Toyota for that matter. If I was, then I better start looking for a different room to chat in. It makes me sick that people get offended and start getting their panties up in a bunch over a brand of car that doesn't deserve to even be mentioned on this site. Who CARES?! :shrug:

I'm here to support what I think is the best looking, and longest lasting car in my opinion, the Fox Body Mustang. That's why I chose to be on Stangnet.

Do you think I chose to be on Stangnet to tip toe around rice supporters? No....and neither should anybody else. I'm sure there's a million people on some Honda forum BASHING Mustangs left and right.

Now you tell me WHY there shouldn't be a Mustang place for bashing Hondas?
Then tell me WHY you think this shouldn't be such place. If you want to lobby for changing Stangnet to "Hey, everybody builds different cars otherwise the world is a boring place" than have at it.

Just recognize why we are here and what we are here to do....DOMINATE the competition: Chevy, Dodge, OR Honda I don't care. I didn't choose a piece of american muscle (or pony muscle) with an aftermarket camshaft to go around apologizing to grandma for disturbing the peace.

I bought a car that would rule the streets and do so in a muscular fashion. And when I'm done doing just that....I'm going to BRAG about it on Stangnet......where a majority of the bloggers appreciate what we do.....

NOT what THEY do.

And for the record.....though I may not like rice or the rice mentality more so.......I feel NO one deserves to have their life cut short by something as SILLY as street racing. Though stupid and careless, I wish the outcome of that on not a SINGLE one of my enemies.....or ANY ricer for that matter.

I'm not going to even touch it, you guys keep with your Mustangs the best and everything else sucks mentality...

And my post there fits right in with some of the stuff I see posted, so no I will not retract it and will not be removed from the board for it... it is in no worse than stuff others say, thank you!

And I feel GREAT that I can get on your nerves so much, proves to me some people need to spend more time outside and less time on Stangnet! :D
