Whats the absolute widest you can go on a foxbody in the rear with wheels/tires? Quad shocks are removed, and i wouldn't be horribly opposed to rolling the inner lip of the quarter out of the way if it was worth it. Thanks

Depends on the car. Hatchbacks have the most room in the rear wheelwells, with notches and convertibles having a bit less room supposedly. What size wheels/tires are you looking to run?
I've got an 89 LX hatch which i guess means i should have more room, but i want to run as wide as i can, traction is going to be a major concern for me when the car is finished
You plan on running a small or larger diameter wheel? Guys get away with 275 series radial tires on 17x9's pretty routinely out back. I had 255/50 series drag radials (dr's have a bit of sidewall bulge) on some 16x7 ponies, and would rub occassionally when cornering hard and hitting a bump at the same time (car was still factory ride height). Kind of hard to answer your question without knowing what rim diamter you want as it does make a difference in terms of tire size you are able run.
Im not sure, still kind of looking around at what i want to do, but i was thinking about running a staggered 95 cobra r wheel set, 17x10.5 rear 17x9 in the front, would that fit if i rolled the inside lip of quarter out of the way?
