My weekend project - 2000 GT 5.4L swap

You won't be disappointed. But, if the SOHC is that tight would a DOHC even fit?

The DOHC will fit, but I haven't looked into what it takes to make it fit. I know everybody recommends the DOHC, generally saying the SOHC is a waste of time and will make less power than a 4.6 built with the same parts. I try to ignore those people. :) The DOHC is definitely the way to go, but it's also about twice as expensive.

Awesome...

BTW that is one heck of a garage... is it a personal or business garage?

It's used for my uncle's oil business right now, but he's taking it over for personal use and building a new one for the business. It'll be just as big, but it won't have all the goodies this one has, like a lift, engine hoist, welder, etc. I sure hope he let's me continue to use the old one on occasion...

Well last night the coolant light came on .... checked it and it needed just a little. Its completely amazing that there are no leaks at all.

Its running awesome! Almost no traction in 1st or 2nd.... and i was only mildly getting on it
