Well, I just had a strange TPS issue arrise-it would have been discovered sooner if I had measured voltage, instead of using my SCT livelink fo r the first time. All I saw on the graph was a moving TPS signal-I didn't know the display well enough to know it was over 1 v too high--ha ha
I had washed my engine bay, and since that incident my transmission quit shifting.
Low and behold it was counting 512 at idle-about 2.1 volts.
I'm needing a replacement
A bit of background-
I have a heavily modded Mercury Mountaineer with a 94-95 Mustang style intake manifold, EGR neck and throttle body on a 347 cu in engine.
So, I come here for discussion-
I notice there are 2 styles available for a 95 mustang GT --and they seem to reference 2 common 4 digit prefix numbers-
F1SF
F2SF
The motorcraft replacement numbers are
DY 987
DY 976
Now-can someone tell me if there is a preferred TPS to use?
I'm now beginning my remote tuning thru
www.hensonperformance.com
But for this question I am looking for experienced answers. I know you guys have them
Or, maybe I'm making too much of a small issue-but this little sucker has a lot to do with EEC-V tuning-load-and shift cycles--
