ls1 in a fox

do a search in Jegs and Summit. they have it in their LS1/TPI sections. it's basically a carb manifold that hooks up and eliminates all the sensors and computer.
get ready for low 12's with a stock Ls1 in a fox

I think the most important thing you need to do first is get some motor mounts made up. Next, get a bell housing made up that will fit the LS1 block and the trans you your choice. The next big step will be conquering the wiring. That is spanish to me, so I can't help you there. For electricians, and ignition guys, it would prolly be a breeze.

AJE makes a k member that's capable of letting you use: modular engine, pushrod ford engine and chevy engine, all in one. So if u bail on the plan, you can just stick a 5.0 back in, without pulling the k yet again.

Also, this has been done. Not sure where the thread is, but it's on this site somewhere.

yeah but the build wasnt documented, it was a bunch of flamers that were hating on the guy even after he was posting some really kick ass 1/4's.

This may be good for the Fox Engine Swap forum as well.

I believe the K-member, motor mounts, and bellhousing fitment is a good place to start.

You may want to see if you can get external measurements for the fitment of the ls1 engine into the fox.

at least the ls1 isnt the typical run of the mill old 350. im not a fan of putting a chevy engine in a mustang but if it had to be done the ls1 is the only way to go.

truthfully if you really want a light car to put the ls1 in, why not get an old 300 or 240z. hell even a rx7 and put an ls1 in that. that would be way cooler than an ls1 in a mustang.
