Anyone heard of Allen Superchargers

I don't believe that for a second. If you use a small enough turbo or hotside, the V8 can provide enough exhaust gases to get peak boost almost where ever you want it. You most commonly see huge lag when dealing with turbo(s) and hotside(s) that are bigger than the car needs (hotmustang no offense) or when your reaching for 550+ numbers that require larger housings to get the required psi levels. I've seen a PI'd 97 with a 60mm and a small hotside see virtually instant boost - but i thought this was a downside not an upside. And I've driven a 68mm T3 5.0 that saw its peak boost at 2900rpms and kept it to redline. Turbo set ups are WAY more customizable than centri's or positive displacement blowers, plus more efficient and generally less strain on parts.

Hey Alan, nice to see you here. Funny you should show up in this thread, the vids above I posted were actually at taken at the Shootout in Xenia where I met you this past summer. We actually smoked a couple of cigars together in line up at the end of the track event on Sunday, on the way out. How's the Baby doing?

It's a shame to hear that Allen went out of business again. The built a great product, but were never much for marketing. I like the new kits above....with the option of an Eaton TVS series blowers too. Now we're talking. Move over Kenne Bell and Whipple, there's a new Sheriff in town.

The babies are both doing great. My daughter is all daddy's girl and my son is really starting to be fun as well. Both were born slightly before the last 2 shootouts.

Allen has a different market. Everyone supports mustangs. Allen supported the t-bird,crown vics and town cars better. Bill has told me of alot of things torktech will be supporting soon.

You're not going to find any Turbo system that doesn't result in some measure of Turbo lag. I don't care how well they say it's been engineered or how small the turbo(s) are. It's unavoidable! They're great for making ultimate power and strip cars, but will never provide you with perfect drivability on a street car. Their power band is too peaky and too narrow for them to provide perfect street manners. There's a trade off to all that power and turbo lag is it!

Plus you cannot install in 6-8 hours and go. Turbos are sweet, but the reality is, they are a lot more work to install and get running then a blower.

DUDE, THAT'S YOUR FRIGGING GT!!!!.....I used to watch that vid all the time on streetfire, in fact yours and 1 other guys clip made me decide to get magnaflows....Well.....THANK YOU!...hahaha...btw, got any other vids?
