What else should I do?

I have installed O/R pipe form JEGS and I have Flowmaster super 40's axle back.
My question is--- After the install of both Items I still don't have exactly the sound I am looking for. I have heard all of the sound clips in the main sticky but as everyone knows they always sound different in person. I have loud exhaust sound but it is still a little on the high pitch side, should I out on Flowmaster American thunders to get a deeper tone or is there another way so I don't have to spend so much money on new items again. If you have any input that would be great. I have already invested over 300 dollars into my exhaust alone and am trying to continue with other upgrades, but I want this right before I continue? Please help!!

If you want deep, you might wanna try Pypes Violators or Mac Boom Tubes. Both of those are very deep. Louvered tubes, basically. Obviously, to get it really deep, you'd want long tube headers.

Just buy a set of FRPP Borla/Stingers and be done with all your exhaust worries. They sound great with an off road h and even better with a high flow catted x pipe. You think spending $300 on exhaust is a lot?... try spending over $2000 like I did.

Flowmaster A/T
Mac
JBA Evols
FRPP Stingers
Off road h & x pipes
Vibrant resonators (to eliminate the trumpets at 2500 RPM)
Magnaflow high flow catted x pipe
Labor for welding and installing h & x pipes
Now I'm thinking about buying the Pypes Mid Muffler exhaust ($299 @ Brenspeed)

Be careful, experimenting can be costly.

some say that 18" resonators with the flow/ O/R H really helps the sound. fairly inexpensive solution. however, i have not heard the combo in person.

Have you actually heard your car outside, or only inside? There's a big difference. The first time I followed my car, I had a ***** eating grin the whole time.

And like I said in the PM, the H pipe may break in a bit.

I thought about that, too. But he says he wants it deeper. I don't think that'd help make it deeper.

My g/f refuses to drive my car so I can follow and listen. I know we've been on the phone(handsfree of course:D )while driving seperately and when I pass her, I can hear the rumble from my earpiece:drool: Numerous Stang club members have followed me and commented on how nice mine sounds, but I have yet to hear what they do.

This is all I have to go by other than WOT of outside my car.

I have always loved the Flowmaster 40 series sound. I have in them in 2 other mustangs GT (86, 96) and 2 x GTO's (04 & 06) and was very happy with the sound. I just purchased a 07 Mustang GT and drove from the dealer to the exhaust shop to install Flowmaster 40 series. I drove home very unhappy. I went online and saw the SLP Loudmouth exhaustwhich says it is the loudest exhaust available. It looked like a muffler delete setup so I contacted SLP and they did after much questioning on my side that it was a straight pipe with a tip. So I went back to the exhaust shop and had them remove the flowmaster mufflers and put a straight pipe in. WOW! I love the sound and you don't have to have someone else drive your car to hear how it sounds. Just roll down your windows and hit the gas, you will have anyone in a 1/4 mile now your coming.

I prefer the Mac Boomtubes. The straight pipe is too raw. It has no definition. The Boomtubes are a straight tube, but they have sound shaping louvers in them (very similar to my Violators). I mean, it's all what you prefer. But to me, without some kind of shape to the sound, it just sounds like a big lifted truck.
