Was wondering if anyone knew how a bad hydraulic lifter felt in the head of 98 gt. All of the lifters have a spring to them except one. Was wondering if this one is maybe bad or do i have nothing to worry bout thanks:D:SNSign:

They should all feel the same. If one were somehow "different" I'd replace it without thinking about it. They are not expensive parts... Replacing the whole batch won't break the bank..

A hydraulic lifter that is very hard to compress is not necessarily a bad thing. When they're pumped up in a running engine, they should be damn near solid. I'd be more concerned about the ones you can nearly fully compress with your fingers. When removed from the car, they should feel a little spongy and you should be able to compress it a very short distance with your fingers before being met with resistance.
