C&L HAS RELEASED A 3 VALVE INTAKE MANIFOLD. THEY CLAIM NO LOOSE OF LOWEND OR MIDRANGE. IT FLOWS ANAMZING 317-320 CFM PER RUNNER. THE VOLUME OF THE PLENUM IS 5 LITERS. I't advertised on page 89 of the october edition of MM&FF magazine.

I for one can't wait to see some dyno tests with this thing. Hopefully whoever is the first to do one will go all out and test a stock engine, bolt-on, and one with heads and cam. It would be interesting to see what it could do on a motor with a centrifical supercharger.

From what I read, the stock intake is not much of a restriction, but it is woefully unbalanced. Some runners flow alot more than others so if the new intake adresses that, there could be a little power there for stock heads and cam. The real improvement will be aftermarket heads and the intake which they are working on. Unfortunately, they are working with Patriot for the heads and they are well known for crappy quality on 5.0 heads.

If your talking about the intake, why don't it exsist anywhere? Crap mlike that really burns my butt, the know it all's. I told you where it exisit, it's on page 89 of the october issue of MM&FF in a full page C&L add. You need to investigate before trying to make some one out to be a liar. If you really want to be an horses ass, PM me your address and Ill send you the mag with a book mark on the page.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to over react, but I do know what I saw. I just rechecked the magazine and there it is in a 2 page C&L add. It say's in big bold letters
"NEW! C&L TRUEFLOW 3V INTAKE MANIFOLD"
Then under that, it says "news flash" C&L/PATRIOT PERFORMANCE TRUEFLOW 3V CYLINDER HEADS. A perfect compliment to the C&L trueflowintake manifold.
I don't mean to be a smart butt, however I'm looking at it right in front of my face with pitures

I understand where he's coming from, though. Many companies said they were going to make a manifold. Most haven't delivered. C&L has had the same information on their website for the better part of a year.

That intake has been out for a few months, it's been advertised as early as August MM&FF...C&L claims for best power it needs to have at least heads and cam...not much power on a stock engine. This manifold however should be great with a centrifugal blower!!! :D

It does not exist. I talked to the guys at C&L 9 months ago and they told me the same story then as they did the other day. They are close to releasing one but they have NOT made one yet. He did say that the article you are talking about mistakenly said it is available.

Maybe YOU should get YOUR facts straight.

lets chill on this. dont let something like this get under your skin. YES, C&L has been claiming to "release soon" for a long time. YES, it is advertised in a magazine as ready now. you are both right. leave it at that.

Well it's neither here or there if it's available today or tomarrow. It's just great that someone is making one. I don't see how a maniflod would really help a stock engine as such. However I could see a benifit with cams and heads. I'm interested to see what kind of numbers they get with the patroit heads. After that it would be intersting to see what heppens if you add the hot rod or comp cams to the mix. I still can't help believing that were going to be seeing 400 hp all motor real soon. I know that I've been predicting that for a year now, but we are getting closer all the time. When I first joined the forum, cams were a waste of money and time on our engines, now since we've had the release of the hot rod cams and now comp cams with phase limiters. On the other forum, a guy installed the hot rod cams and got over a 30 hp bump. They've been saying 40 hp is the average and thats not bad for a pair of bump sticks. I don't know about the comp cams other than JDM Engineering making 401 rwhp with a pair in an 298 3v stroker and still passed emissions. They didn't go into a lot of detail on what else was done to the motor so we would know how much of it is cams and how much is motor. At anyrate it seems to be an exciting time for the 3 valve, at least I think so.
