06 GT Tire Sizes

I am looking to switch around the tires from my 2000 v6 to my 06 GT... I have 255/45/17 on the v6 and 235/55/17 on the V6. Should i be able to just switch them around without any issues or the tires touching the splash guards on the front in turns? What is the biggest tire that the 05+ can take in the back on stock rims?

The biggest tire I have seen on a 05+ is 345s

On the stock 17x8, I'd say a 255, maybe a 265 for the widest. Just remember, the lower the profile, the less sidewall there will be to flex to fit a narrower rim.
