Anyone bought from MGW lately??

My gf bought me a shifter on December 24th (Morning) and paid for second day shipping but I still have not received the shifter....

The bigger problem is that I have called them and send out 2 e-mails the past 3 days and have not received any answer(they don't pickup the phone either)!!!
What do you guys think??? I don't see any notice in their website stating that they are closed for the holidays!

I believe that a company like them would post notices if they were going to close down for a couple of days.

So has anyone bought from them lately????

When I bought my shifter from them I got nothing but great customer service. I don't think they are going to screw you over, as they have an excellent reputation to uphold and they know it.
 
Alright............ I guess I'll have to wait until monday!! :(
I hope that they at least don't charge me for the 2nd day shipping since there was no notice on the website.....

they're probably closed man, its that time of the of the year lol they probably haven't even shipped it yet because they're closed so it will get to you in two days after it is shipped :shrug: cuz i mean two day shipping means two days in transit from the point UPS or Fedex gets their hands on it, it all matters on what day it is shipped.
 
Yea, they are closed along with soo many other companies. Most close for the end of the year for inventory and tax reasons.

We stayed open, and only closed Christmas day and tomorrow we will be closed.
It has been hectic for us too, lots of shipment delays. Last week UPS picked up until Tuesday the 23rd, and didn't pick up packages again until this Monday the 29th.


Also with alot of companies closing for the holidays, some orders can't be placed until they reopen. Everyone should be open for regular business Monday the 5th, but expect it to be very busy, as there are alot people waiting on shipments placed the week before Christmas.
We decided next week would be customer service week so to speak :)

I do agree with the others, MGW has always been great to us too and you will be very happy with your new shifter.
 
I used to live 5 mins from their store and they are some good folks. I'd be willing to bet if you call them tomorrow/Monday they would be all about helping you.

Good choice on the shifter btw :)
 
Buying on the 24th was probably not very good timing. They should have posted if they were going to be closed for the holidays but you will get your item. They are good people.
 
Hope you got the shifter. I bet they were closed. I called several places and they were closed and it said there office was open. They are to lazy to change the voice mail saying they are closed for the holidays. I would call them and talk to them and I am sure they will fix the shipping charges you paid for

Yes I know timing was not good, but it was my gf's fault. On the 23rd she was like "so what is that shift thing you said you want? Can I get it at BestBuy???"
hahaha :rlaugh: I just laughed at her!!!

But it does not take much to change a voice mail or to include a auto-response type of system to e-mails saying that they will be closed.....

I mean they are a reputable company open to the Internet 24/7 they can't just close their doors and leave it at that:rolleyes:
I sent them 2 e-mails explaining the situation but I did not threaten them, I don't think its needed in this case:)
I think that it would be nice of them if they dropped my shipping charges, I mean I will probably get my item 2 weeks after I paid for it!!
