Thanks everyone! I'm so excited about this car!
Redline_351R- where do I get a build sheet at? I have the Ford certificate that says this is a limited edition 1994 mustang assembled at the Dearborn Assembly Plant on 5-31-94 and its number 2158. Is there something I can get in addition to this?
Charlie- I'm just glad the car and I made it home in one piece and that we can laugh about it now. It wasn't too funny last night driving on snow covered roads in the middle of a freezing rain storm.
Touring23- It as stock as stock is. It still has the factory air silencer on it!!! Yes, it still has 3.08's in it. I was cruising along at ~70mph last night on the turnpike at a lazy 2000rpms in 5th!
viridionplague- as was said, the 94 cobra only had the fender cobra emblems, a running horse in the grill, and mine does have the floor mats, air bag, and calipers that all say Cobra. Since mine is a 94 it does not have the SVT badge that the 95's do.
Grn92LX- Mike the reasons you mention is the exact reason why I did this. I love my '95 but its become too much to enjoy on a daily basis for just running around in. This Cobra will fit that bill and then some! I picked this car for 4k!!!
SublimeRT- Mine does have defrost. Mine is a base model coupe with the only option being the "preferred equipment PKG 250A" which included (from the window sticker):
-mustang cobra
-speed control
-rear window defroster
-air conditioning
-front floor mats
Grand total was $22,435.00 when it sold new.
Adam- Its funny but the dizzy boot was one of the first things I noticed as my '95 had the hard plastic cover as did my cousin's '94. Do you know anything about this boot? I though only foxes had these. As for the future of this car, its up in the air right now. I will wait until I get a little more seat time with it before I make up my mind. I want to do a compression check and leak-down test before I do anything with it. I hope to do these sometime this week. The things that are a given are to swap out the shifter for my old pro 5-0 unit, finish detailing the exterior and then move onto the engine bay. That is where I plan to spend a LOT of time detailing and cleaning. Look at the pics below and you'll see why. This car was a driver and as such it has the dirty engine bay to prove it.
Rich- I talked to Charlie and I know you've had your hands full lately. Please call me when you get a chance. As for autocross, I plan to but if I run it in the stock class I'll be competing against the national champion as he races in my region in his shelby mustang GT. Without slicks I won't be competitive in any class, and I doubt I'll have money for tires this year since I spent all of my funds on this car. The turbo is definitely on hold for a while now. I did have a hair brained idea to put the turbo on this car with its stock H/C/I and leave the '95 NA.
