Just out of curiosity how wide could i get away with out back on ponies.I need new tires for the rear and would like a lil wider if possible.

my car had 245/45/16 when i bought it, they fit but i thought they were too wide for the rims and looked funny. they were a pain to mount and dismount on the rim because they were so wide but they did fit. I switched to 225 in the rear after i bought it. It all depends on the profile too

Well, i'm running 245/50/16 on all 4 right now.I suppose that's the widest i should go i guess.

My 92 orange Fox, cant remember the tire size:

how does everybody get away, with running 2.5 inch h-pipe, with mufflers and tail pipes and a lowering spring and not have any problem with the mufflers and h-pipe hanging down almost onto the pavement? my stock v8 springs and exhaust always sag way down, they would be on the ground with the car stitting still if i put lowering springs on it.

17" pony rims

Here is mine with 17''x8" chrome ponies...245/40/17 front and 275/40/17 in the rear and yes they rub a little in the front full turn but not bad....i have fenders rolled and drop springs in the front.

Nope, the GT came from Oklahoma and is now in Arkansas. Actualy it was a LX converted to a GT. Car had many issues but it also had many nice engine parts. Sold it and went to Houston to buy my Cobra (previous Cobra).

I don't have any pics of them fully mounted, but here's my black LX with some idea of how they might look. The wheels are 16".

I'm torn between which wheels to mount. The pony's are brand new and I'm actually trying to sell them, but everyone tells me to keep them and use them! I actually prefer the 17" Cobra R's....just something about the look.
