lincoln 5.0

is the linclon 5.0 motor the same as a mustang 5.0? besides the intake being on the opsite way is there any thing else different? i got a lincoln for free with a 5.0 in it i was going to take it out and build it then swap it in to my fox it keep down on down time of the fox. a little in side would be great

my understanding is that the only Linclons w/ 5.0 HO motors are Mark VII LSC

Town car 5.0's are Standard Output

Only the Mark 7 LSC got the 5.0 HO

ok i think its standard output but that doesnt matter. is the block the same will fox motor parts work on that motor or not?

You will need the computer out of the lincoln cause the firing order will be different, and also the main harness i would imagine

nope, just change the cam out.



to answer your question- I dont know.
reason- i dont know if it is a roller motor or not. the blocks physically are probably the same and the parts should swap over but you'll need the valvetrain from the mustang I believe. And if it isnt a roller motor then you'll need to drill and tap the valley for the dog bones. Heads may ne different too. take it apart and have a look at it. I dont see a reason it cant be 'made' to work. but it wont be a straight swap

overall I dont know what else needs to be changed out but there will be some differences how ever minor they maybe.

Depends on the year really. We need more to go on than just a "lincoln motor"

Post up a year and what it's out of as we can tell you if the lower end is the same
