I have decided to put some mods on my car. I have almost collected everything i need for a PI swap but that wont be done for a while. I want to ditch the stock mid pipe with a O/R H-pipe. The car only has a set of flowmaster 3 chambers and I want to see if removing the stock mid pipe will make the car sound a little better cuz right now it sounds weak. I know when I went to a O/R H-pipe on my Fox it sure made a difference even before the headers went on. Anyone got any sound clips?

I've got an offroad H on stock mufflers and it sounds great. It will be quite a bit louder. In fact, with my stock mufflers, it is about perfect and any louder would be too loud.
I do enjoy the way my 97 gurgles when decelerating in gear. I'm not sure if the PI engines do that or not.

Ok, I will check the sound clips out. I like the input but I have an auto, so that will make a diff in sound I bet. PI cars have slightly more aggressive cams so i figured the better stock sound was natural for them, I guess I am just used to my Fox's full exhaust on ported heads and cam sound!!!

Anyone know what the easiest O/R H to install is? I know on Fox Mustangs the Mac's were the best but I heard 4.6's were a little more of a challenge!

They should all be about equal on installation. The hardest part of the job is always getting the stocker off. The header bolts are at a funny angle, so a swivel extension is helpful, though I did mine without.
