Bought a can of seafoam yesterday for my 95 with a bit under 89k on her. Since buying the car, it's had a low-rpm studder at times when holding the accelerator steady. Added a third of a pint of seafoam into my gas tank, and a day later, it hasn't studdered once, so that's very good. I'm wanting to suck it through a vac line now, but don't know whether I should do it through the PCV valve, or the brake booster line? Also, could someone point me in the direction of a good diagram for both? For the brake booster, should I just pull the end of the line that connects to the vac tree?

I went through the fuel pressure regulator myself, but I pour the Seafoam into an old jelly jar first. It doesn't matter which vacuum line you use, all will draw the Seafoam into the engine. I simply found the fuel pressure regulator hose to be convenient to me.

I used a line off the tree on the drivers side rear corner.

I also, thought you used a whole can in the tank...

Follow the instructions on the back of the can and use some in the oil also...
just before an oil change..

I use seafoam in all my engines... anything that burns gas!

I love it!

Ran some seafoam through a line earlier, but I'm not too sure if I used enough/did it right... The line leading from the vac tree on the driver's side to the brake booster - I pulled it off from the brake booster, and started to suck up some seafoam. I ended up stopping after I didn't have someone give it any gas and the motor sputtered and died. I let it sit for about 10 minutes, and after starting it up it idled kind of rough at first, but smoothed out after driving her around for a few minutes and giving it some gas on the drive. Thing is, it didn't smoke much, if any. Did I just not use enough? Or is my motor THAT clean? Haha.

smoke show

If you and your buddy want your jaw to hurt from laughter and watering eyes. Pour a half of quart of tranny fluid into the brake booster line and go for a ride. Weee (1993 grand am gt) It smoked so hard you could not even see through the smoke. :rlaugh:

Depends. You might not have used enough Seafoam, or let it sit for long enough. Or your engine might be that clean. How much Seafoam got sucked in? 1/4 can? 1/3 can?

Not sure of the exact amount, but if I had to guess I'd honestly only say about a fifth made it in before the engine died. I'll do it again tonight and add a little bit more, and let it sit twice as long.
