Well my Christmas 347 project has been going very slowly, couple of hours on weekends here and there, but getting close :D:D When heads in and valve train setup I drill primed the oil system, 60psi no problem, then big oil drip on the floor :(:( the brand new FoMoCo rear main seal installed in the short block I bought was apparently no good, took awhile to figure out that even new parts can be bad, put in a 'high perf' Fel-Pro Teflon seal, finally got the leak stopped. Got the drive train in, was reusing my fairly new stock clutch and pressure plate, forgot that it was rated for 250-300hp, would not do well with my 347, so took all that back apart and got a new higher rated Kevlar/kevlar setup. This weekend finally had time to complete exhaust, wiring, 2x4 linkage etc, so a few pics for fun below, first start coming up!

You have the carbs on backwards. 2x4's mount the carbs turned around vs a single four. This frees up clearance for the distributor and moves the front carb's primaries closer to the center of the motor.

No problem with dizzy room using small head dizzy. Both mounts were used. Carl @ Carl's Ford Parts went over this with me, this is one option that apparently works very well, here is his photo below. My carbs are not backwards, they are exactly how I wanted them, the fuel log fits better and the linkage is better :D

Velox, looks awesome. What brand/model of clutch did you go with? I have a Kevlar/Kevlar that I will be using that is made by a small clutch company.

I went with what they recommended at Modern Driveline where I got most of my T5 conversion parts - they advised a Superior Clutch kit - kevlar/kevlar 10.5" rated 400-500hp :D:D

I run mine that way and have no problems clearing a stock distributer. I also run straight linkage (no progressive) and it starts and runs well and actually gets decent mileage. I don't know if I missed his carb sizes, but I run 390's.
