Can I use 2 spacers?

Hey, I just did a head swap to TW's. I have 1.6 rr and my stock valve covers dont fit, so i picked up some tall ford motorsport covers up from my buddy.

I need like an inch and a half spacer. The biggest I can find is a 1". Is it safe to stack a 1" and a 1/2"?

Are you talking about phenolic manifold spacers? Take two and "glue" them together with black RTV silicone. Let it dry on the workbench, and make sure to clean away any drip, especially inside the ports. Assemble on intake with a gasket on each end. Should work fine.

Keep in mind that effectively elongates the intake ports which will lower your intake's rpm range somewhat. I have no idea how much, but just know that it's there.

Also, mind the hood clearance.

Hey thanks for the input. Ive been messing around with it. I mocked up a 1" spacer out of wood and put the intake on it I was still hitting the throttle cable by a long shot so i modified it a little and got it to clear. Ran out and bought the 1" spacer and it all clears perfectly:nice:
