What do you guys think? 66 I6 w/ v8 suspension

I think I may have found the right car for me.... Took some pics for you guys to help me out. Originally a I6, have V8 suspension on it...Has an 8.8 in the rear. I found out he is also including a four piston disk front with it as well.

I will be putting my 88 5.0 and t5 in it.

Any concerns, ideas, anything that looks bad to you?

Thanks for the input

Maybe I should rephrase the question and title of thread.....For $600, do think this is a good buy? I don't care about numbers matching or the extra wiring/ or whatever is involved in the swap....What I am most concerned about is rust repair, but I can't find anything. Its has a clear title/non op, so no back fees.

Looks good for the money. That rear end looks like it needs to be cut down unless that is the look you are going for. Not sure if wheels can offset that but maybe.... How is it inside the trunk and on the bottom of the doors (not the skin, but from under them) for rust?

Ahh...I guess I didnt put the pic of the trunk up....I didn't look at the truck so much, as it was full of parts. Bottom of the doors looked good.....The rear end, I was concerned about, but I think I could offset it with some modern wheels if I decide to go that way....Right now, I want to go with a Trans Am look....Side exhaust, black hood, and I think I will keep it red.

Looks like a good deal. Its got a GT or Deluxe steering wheel. Floors look great as do shocktowers. I cant tell whats going on with the rear and the "8.8" It takes a bit of work to get an 8.8 properly under a 65-66. You have a great head start to put a V8 in it. Good thing about converting a 6 banger is that it probably was not abused like some V8 cars.

looks like a good buy. I would agree with pete on the cutting down of the rear axle and replacing the axle with the short one. a really good headstart on putting a v8 in it. I am in the middle of doing the research of doing the i6 to 8 swap
